For children only: magic, spells, princesses and knights!
Moszna Castle
With its fairy-tale architecture, Moszna Castle fires children’s imagination - its towers and mysterious corners often bring to mind Hogwarts from Harry Potter. The youngest visitors can enjoy the “Hrabiolandia” playroom with large blocks, a soft play area and games, while outside there is a castle-themed playground. Hugo Yorck’s activities introduce elements of magic and fantasy by offering camps, workshops and games inspired, among others, by Harry Potter and The Witcher; outdoor games and castle-themed puzzles are also very popular. The venue offers stays for organised school groups and parties for children, and many young guests enjoy touring the chambers, walking through the park and visiting the restaurant and café - while some stay overnight to feel as if they were in a fairy tale.
An additional attraction is the nearby Robot Factory, where hand-made steel robots and unique exhibits inspired by science-fiction films are created from recycled elements by an enthusiast, and which you will not see anywhere else.
Opole, Upper Castle
The Upper Castle in Opole is an ideal place where even the youngest visitors can feel the spirit of the Middle Ages. Although today mainly the Gothic tower of the former castle has survived, a guided tour is a true journey through history - here one can hear fascinating stories about former times and life in the medieval stronghold. Children have the chance to try on medieval costumes and pieces of armour, as well as touch props related to the period - which makes the visit more engaging and fun. The guides tell interesting legends and stories that further stimulate the imagination of younger participants. Crossing the bridge over the dry moat and the opportunity to see fragments of the original, mysterious castle buildings make the visit an adventure rather than just ordinary sightseeing. It is a great idea for a family trip during which children can feel like little explorers of history, while adults learn about the fascinating past of medieval Opole.
Piast Tower
Children love climbing viewpoints - the 163 steps are a real challenge for them, but the reward of a magnificent panorama from the tower will delight both younger and older visitors. The castle also houses a multimedia exhibition, which takes around half an hour to visit. Interactive elements and a narrative in which the Duke of Opole speaks capture the attention of the youngest visitors and make learning about history a fascinating adventure. The guide’s commentary perfectly complements the visit - answering questions, dispelling doubts and telling interesting stories about the castle and medieval Opole, making the entire visit an engaging experience for the whole family.
